Material-Oriented Micro/Nano Manufacturing: Modeling, Experiment and Application
The 2nd Sino-German Symposium on “Material-Oriented Micro/Nano Manufacturing: Modelling, Experiment and Application” will be held in Bochum/Germany from August 26–30. It follows the successful 1st Sino-German Symposium that took place in Harbin/China, funded by the Sino-German Center for Research Promotion, and thus further enhances and strengthens the cooperations between Chinese and German researchers in the field. This will be achieved by bringing together engineers and scientists of both countries from different disciplines of mechanical engineering, fabrication technology, materials science, and application- oriented research on micro and nano manufacturing.
The following topics will be covered
- micro/nano fabrication technologies and key components
- process analysis and characterization, modeling and simulation
- surface engineering
- research synergies between precision machining and wear.
A wide range of materials will be dealt with, from steels and other alloys of different strengths to silicon and ceramics.
